Endless nostalgia for mother and hometown

As a result of longing for one's mother, one can also see works with a deep sense of nostalgia for one's hometown. If you look at the work "When the green barley is ripening, into the memories of the barley field, into the pine field," you can see the artist's childhood hometown. It is naturally connected to and it feels like watching a rural drama.

When the green barley is ripening

To the field road where gold dust arms sparkle

On the jaundiced path of spring palace

The whole family drags the cart to the side road in the barley field.

One by one, the barley grains gain weight.

When it swells,

The smell of burning raw pine branches

A skylark chirps above the thatched roof.

Grandmother and grandfather waiting for their grandchildren

Beyond the barley field and mountain

somewhere.

-Conceived in LA-

When the green barley is ripe

69 x 44 cm, acrylic on paper

The bull that leads the guru with his breastplate

into the blue sky

Cranes gather at the edge of the summer barley fields,

running like a calf

The scenery of the barley field in June

Digging up the rice fields and crossing the barley pass

Now, the barley sheaves of the breastplate are carried on the guruma.

I miss the face of Du-Eol Daek and Du-Eol Yangban.

Beyond the wild flowers on the stone wall

When the barley field road comes into view

Hometown is always in the memories of the barley fields

The hill where wildflowers bloom today as well.

Into the memories of the barley field

106 x 68 cm, acrylic on paper

Let's make a kite together in the pine forest

With the feeling of nirvana

Cranes are like cranes, deer are like deer.

Creating a paradise of nirvana.

Into the pine field

65 x 92 cm, acrylic on paper
